May 1, 2018 - Professor Andrej Sali, Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, has been elected as a member of National Academy of Sciences.
Professor Andrej Sali has been collaborating with the iHuman Institute. Professor Sali is a leading expert in integrative structural biology. His research has focused on the discovery of general structural principles that underlie the cellular processes, through maximizing the accuracy, precision, completeness, and efficiency of the structural coverage of proteins and their assemblies. This goal is being achieved by the integration of different types of experimental data, physical theories, and statistical inference, spanning all relevant size and time scales.
The Sali group has achieved outstanding discoveries of the Nuclear Pore Complex and published high-level articles on journals including Nature.
