Dr. Milka Kostic, Senior Editor of “Structure” and “Chemistry & Biology” Cell Press, visited iHuman Institute, ShanghaiTech University, and gave a lecture on scientific publication on May 7th, 2015.
Prof. Raymond C. Stevens, Founding Director, and Prof. Zhi-Jie Liu, Deputy Director of iHuman warmly welcomed her visit. Along with iHuman faculties and graduate students, they initiated anon insightful and fruitful discussion on topics covering introduction of iHuman and Cell Press, scientific publication in journals of Cell Press, and future communication opportunity.
In her lecture titled “Scientific publishing: getting your next paper published and noticed”, Dr. Kostic introduced the key steps in writing and publishing research papers. In addition, she also underscored the importance of 5 tips that make a paper different, which proved to be a very helpful lesson to the young audience of graduate students in ShanghaiTech University.
