On December 26th, iHuman Institute at ShanghaiTech University held its annual Science Day event. The event was attended by all faculty and students of iHuman Institute, with the presence of ShanghaiTech University's Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President Jiang Ge, as well as Zhou Yu, Director of Human Resources.
During the event, Assistant Directors Zhong Guisheng, Xu Fei, and Shui Wenqing reported on their respective responsibilities, covering aspects such as laboratory core construction and safety management, talent team building, academic exchange and student training, and cultural development. Executive Director Liu Zhi-Jie provided a comprehensive summary of the institute's work over the past year, shared thoughts on the future development direction, and outlined the focus areas for the coming year.
The event also featured special presentations by research group leaders Zhou Ning, Pan Saiyong, Luca Zinzula and Shan Yibing. They introduced the research directions and scientific progress of their respective research groups.
Towards the end of the event, the Annual Awards for the WeChat Academic Column were presented to encourage faculty and students to continue sharing cutting-edge advancements in the new year. In his closing remarks, Liu Zhi-Jie expressed appreciation for the hard work of all institute members over the past year, encouraging everyone to embrace new beginnings and changes, and collectively contribute to the ongoing development of the institute.
