Cell culture technician positions at BV Core in iHuman Institute, ShanghaiTech University

The iHuman Institute at ShanghaiTech University was established to understand human cell signaling at a level beyond what is achievable today. iHuman Institute has research groups in the fields of Chemical and Cell Biology, Chemistry, Computational Biology, MRI Imaging, Super-resolution Imaging, Structural Biology, System Biology, and Translational Medicine. The institute is a close-knit, networked team from different disciplines of science all working closely together excited to decipher the mysteries of the integrated human body. Basic science is at the core of the iHuman Institute, with direct application to diagnostics and drug discovery.

The BV Core at iHuman was set up in 2013 and mainly focuses on expression of eukaryotic proteins, such as GPCRs, using the Baculovirus Expression System. We provide virus and biomass for both internal and external researchers of the biotech and biomedical research community. This essential resource aids investigators with structure, function and drug development research. Now we are seeking a technician to undertake cell culture development.


1. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in cell biology/ biochemistry.

2. Experience in insect cell or mammalian cell culture will be a plus.

3. Experience in flow cytometer or fluorescence-activated cell sorting also a large plus.

4. Experience in protein crystallography would also be beneficial but not necessary.

5. Relative work experience preferred;
