June 3, 2018, the Co-Founder of Danaher Corporation Mr. Steven M. Rales accepted the invitation from Raymond Stevens, the Founding Director of iHuman, and had a visit to ShanghaiTech. iHSLB got a valuable chance to discuss with Mr. Rales regarding to The Ways of Leadership.

Danaher was one of the first companies in North America to adopt kaizen. During the discussion, Mr. Rales answered every question and provided many advices for the students. He said, student leadership must insist in something that you valued a lot in your heart and something that you will never break; these will help you to make the approperate decisions. When student asked how to keep the leadership position in the fast changing world, he said the one must be proactive, and in order to achieve that goal, the one must have a vision, and again it returns to the concept that the valuable thing who insists in. He told the iHSLB members that the magic way to make a person takes the responsibility in a team is that let the person engages in the task. Mr. Rales also mentioned his experience as a voice actor in the movie Mr. Fox and talked about the hit movie La La Land. Mr. Rales’ valuable experiences inspired the members of iHSLB and he is an excellent enterprise leader model with many specialties for students.
During the discussion, iHSLB members benefited a lot from him. The iHSLB members not only had an in-depth understanding of Danaher's DBS business model, but also were inspired by the way of the exploration of business thinking. This made the iHSLB member's ability greatly improved in leadership training.
